It’s that time of the year again. No, we’re not talking about candy canes and shopping and all that. It’s time for all the “best of the year” lists that always pop up in December.

If you’re like me, you want to see if your favorite reads of 2014 made any of the lists. One problem, though, is that I always end up jotting down titles of way too many books to add to my “to read” list. Does this happen to you, too?

Let’s take a look at a few of the “Best Books” lists.

Time Magazine has lists of 10 Best Fiction Books, 10 Best Nonfiction Books, and 10 Best Young Adult Books.

Entertainment Weekly has a 10 Best Fiction Books of 2014.

Finally, as an antidote to all the best books lists, Entertainment Weekly also provides us with a 5 Worst Books of 2014 list.

(I have to stick up for The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, though. It was one of my favorite reads of the year.)
