2015 Summer Reading

Every superhero has a story—something that forever changes their path in life, and we’re no different.  On our shelves are the stories of people from all walks of life that have achieved impossible challenges.

We’re celebrating those stories with our reading program. Take a look at all the great things we’ve got planned for this summer!

The Frisch Marionette Company

Watch a double feature presented by Kevin Frisch of the Frisch Marionette Company! Enjoy the music, puppets, and scenery from the beloved classics “Peter and the Wolf” and “The Frog Prince.”

Silly Safaris

Stop by the library today for the silliest animal show around! Coyote Chris will be here to present “Be a Hero…READ”!

June 29th at 11am or 2pm

Animal Tales

There are so many different types of animals! This program will introduce and explore the topic of animal classifications. Participants will meet and learn about a member of each of the following animal types: bird, reptile, amphibian, mammal, invertebrate, and maybe even a fish!

June 6th at 11am or 2pm

Mike Hemmelgarn

Join us at the library for a show that features a hilarious blend of ventriloquist characters, a wild variety of comedy juggling, and a splash of magic and balloons. Watch as audience members are turned into ventriloquist puppets.

July 13th at 11am or 2pm

Mr. Bond, The Science Guy

You will be amazed at the science experiments you witness! Perhaps you will even have the opportunity to participate in a few!

June 20th at 11am or 2pm

Children’s Comic-Con

Come dressed as your favorite comic book characters, and we’ll equip you with balloon ray-guns. You might even get a chance to meet your favorite character!
