September 30th
We’re still on schedule, find out what you need to know!
The first phase of our construction project–the new addition–is just about over, and the new phase–the renovation of the existing library–is about to begin. Some BIG but temporary changes are in store for everyone!
For starters, it’ll be necessary for the library to close for about two weeks while we move everything from the existing library space into the new addition.
Tentatively, we’ll be closed from October 5th—18th, but this may change depending on how the construction and moving goes. During the closed period, our staff will be working full time with the moving and construction crews to get everything loaded, moved, and rearranged in their temporary spaces.
When we reopen on Monday, October 19th (tentatively), our main entrance will be closed and patrons will be directed to enter the library through the auditorium entrance.
Once inside, we’ll have our current collection of library materials temporarily arranged in the new addition. But don’t worry! We’ll be on hand to help you find what you need.
We’ll operate in this way until the renovation of the existing building is completed–around the first part of January—and then we’ll rearrange again.
We know a lot of hard work is ahead of us, and we know we’re asking a lot of patrons to adjust to these temporary changes. But we also know that the end result of an expanded and renovated library will be well worth the effort.
Thanks so much for your enthusiastic support of our construction project!
