Library Elf

When Life Gets Busy…Library Elf Can Help!

Elf is like a personal assistant, whose task is to help with keeping track of what you have checked out with your library card. Designed with the busy or avid library user in mind, Elf is ideal for families with multiple library cards. Elf makes it easier to keep track of what’s due, what’s overdue, and what’s ready for pickup from one or more library accounts.

The best part…Elf is a FREE service offered to library patrons!

Setup

All you need is an email address, library card number, and your password used to log into our catalog system. Once you’ve added your card, you can add others in your family–VERY useful if you have multiple family members with library cards.

Hint: The default library password is “1234” unless you’ve reset it. Call the Reference Desk if you need help accessing your account.

Account Overview

Once you get your account(s) setup and start using Elf, you can login and get an overview of what’s out and when it’s to be returned. Elf will periodically send you an email with this same information so you don’t have to remember to login and manage your account.

Super handy when managing an entire family of cards!

Notification Options

There’s so many options! Choose how long before an item is due to be notified and how you want to be alerted. Elf will even send you an alert when the item you’ve requested is ready for pickup and waiting for you at the circulation desk.

You can get alerts via SMS text messages or sent to multiple email accounts.

That’s our quick overview of Library Elf. Let us know if you like it!
