There have been reports from other Kentucky libraries about a possible phone scam regarding library accounts. Patrons have reported that they’re receiving phone calls telling them that they owe library fines and then asking for a credit card or debit card number.
NOTICE: The Laurel County Public Library DOES NOT collect money this way.
