The Laurel County Public Library offers a wide range of technology classes to help you develop and improve the skills that are so important in the digital age. With different topics being taught each month, a knowledgeable staff, and hands-on learning, there’s sure to be something we can help you with. This month we’re excited to help you start the new year off on the right foot by offering E-Readers, Basic Word, Cybersecurity Basics, and Formatting Documents.

Participants must have a library card, valid email address, and be 18+ to participate.
E-Readers
Learn how to navigate your Kindle Fire, iPad or other device to download eBooks and audiobooks with your library card.
Basic Word
Learn how to create text-based documents using Microsoft Word, as well as how to complete simple actions like saving, opening, and printing documents in this class.
Cybersecurity Basics
Learn about common viruses, email and internet safety, firewalls, and other security features and practices in this class.
Formatting Documents
Knowing all the tricks to format a document can be confusing. Today you’ll learn ways to format and align text, apply bullets or numbers, and adjust spacing within your Word documents.
