In conjunction with the Bandits & Heroes, Poets & Saints: Popular Art of the Northeast of Brazil exhibit, Dr. Kathy Bullock, former Director of the Berea College BME Choir for many years, will present an inspirational and educational program focusing on the influence artwork has on a culture.
She will explore the connections between African-American and Appalachian music through a mix of stories, songs, and audience interaction. Those fortunate enough to have met Dr. Bullock know that this will be an evening of uplifting joy not to be missed!
All events offered by the Laurel County Public Library are free to attend unless otherwise noted in the description above.
