CANCELLED: Houston the Eagle Has Landed
Thu. August 29th, 2019 | 6:00pm - 7:30pm EDT
FreeNOTICE: Today’s program, Houston the Eagle Has Landed has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We’re sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.
On July 20, 1969 three American astronauts –Neal Armstrong, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, and Michael Collins – undertook a historic journey from earth to the moon. Armstrong and Aldrin became the first men to walk on the moon, leaving their footprints on both the lunar surface and world history.
Discover the roles that politics, science, and sacrifice played in our race for space, as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Professor Elizabeth Kitts is returning to facilitate the program.
