Pursuing An Off-Grid Homesteading Lifestyle
Fri. December 8th, 2017 | 6:30pm - 7:30pm EST
FreeWant to know more about simplifying your lifestyle and learning how to live “off-grid”? Then this program is for you.
Donna and J.D. Rains made the decision to drastically alter their way of life and have lived “off-grid” for four years. They run their home utilizing only a 30 amp breaker, solar power, and drinking water they obtain on their own property.
They raise saanen dairy goats and white rock chickens, make their own soap, and are 3rd generation bee keepers.
Bring any questions or concerns you have about homesteading to the program and they will be addressed.
Registration is REQUIRED.
All events offered by the Laurel County Public Library are free to attend unless otherwise noted in the description above.
The library makes every reasonable effort to provide equal access to all patrons. Please call us at least three days in advance to request accommodations.
