Spring Diabetes Self-Management: Session 4

Registered Dietitian Lynnett Renner from the Laurel County Health Department will lead the four-part self-management series that has a curriculum recognized by the American Diabetes Association and the Centers for Disease Control. Registration includes all four classes and participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion.
Session 1: This session focuses on what diabetes is, high and low blood sugar, and acute complications.
Session 2: This session focuses on the monitoring and management of blood sugar as well as what to do when you have sick days.
Session 3: This session will address the topics of being prepared when traveling, coping with diabetes, and reducing risks.
Session 4: The final session will focus on information concerning medications and alternatives for diabetics.
