Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Tue. August 13th, 2019 | 6:00pm - 7:00pm EDTFree
Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It’s a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior.
An Alzheimer’s Association representative will be here to discuss the impact of Alzheimer’s, differences between Alzheimer’s and dementia, stages of the disease, risk factors, current research, available treatments, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.
RTEC transportation will be provided for this program by calling 864-5759 and scheduling a pick up and drop-off time. All arrangements MUST be made 48 hours prior to the time you wish to visit the library to allow for scheduling.
All events offered by the Laurel County Public Library are free to attend unless otherwise noted in the description above.
The library makes every reasonable effort to provide equal access to all patrons. Please call us at least three days in advance to request accommodations.
