Whether you’re new to hiking or a seasoned hiker, join long-time hiking enthusiast John Fricke to learn modern ways of hiking safely in the deep woods. John will address which types of gear/clothing and boots are the most suitable, and essential items for any hike, big or small. In addition, he’ll cover navigation skills and timeless hiking survival tips.
A question/answer period will conclude the program. For ages 16 and older. If desired, participants may bring their own gear to the class to be evaluated for suitablility.
All events offered by the Laurel County Public Library are free to attend unless otherwise noted in the description above.
