Our Overdrive Collection is Moving

Overdrive Just Got Easier

Our patrons love using Overdrive and Libby to borrow their eBooks and audiobooks. For years the we’ve maintained our own collection while also contributing to Kentucky Libraries Unbound. We’re excited to announce that on November 24th, we’ll be moving all of our collection to Kentucky Libraries Unbound!

The reason we’re making this change is so that our patrons will only have to visit one Overdrive website in order to browse and borrow great content. No more switching between libraries in the Overdrive and Libby apps. We’ll still order books that our patrons will have priority access to and by offering those titles within the same website it’ll help keep your wait times short.

Once the move is complete patrons will have one place to go to enjoy their Overdrive and Libby digital media experience, Kentucky Libraries Unbound. There you’ll be able to now search for titles that are exclusive to our patrons, as well as over 100,000 other titles that are contributed by libraries across the state.

If you haven’t already, take a look at Kentucky Libraries Unbound and log in using your library card and sign up so you’ll be ready after November 24th.

See below for any questions you might have and if you have further questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call at (606) 864-5759

What happens to the titles that I have checked out from the old Overdrive website?
If the item is already borrowed before November 24th you’ll still be able to to enjoy it.

What about the titles that I have placed on hold?
After November 24th you’ll need to log into Kentucky Libraries Unbound and place a new hold on those titles.

What happens to my checkout history and lists?
Unfortunately your history and lists won’t migrate to Kentucky Libraries Unbound. Once you log into KLU, you can manually add titles to your lists or to your history. Click here to learn how to add to your history: https://help.overdrive.com/en-us/2208.htm
